We currently have an excellent opportunity for a motivatedSafety Coordinatorto join our growing organization in ourFargo, NDoffice. The primary responsibilities of a Safety Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
Assist field employees and Project Managers with hazard analysis & task pre-planning
Conduct safety inspections of jobsites for recognition and correction of safety hazards
Work in partnership with the Safety Director to accomplish the Corporate goals
Assist projects with incident investigations to identify hazards and corrective action
Assist with Claims Management
Keep appraised of changes in safety regulations and procedures
Maintain professionalism and develop strong relationships with clients, team members, State & Federal agencies, subcontractors, and field staff
Assist in development and conducting of safety training
Qualifications:
Education:Required: High School Diploma with trade, college, or experience in Safety or Electrical related fields. Preferred: Degree in Construction Safety or industry recognized certifications i.e. OSHA 500, ASC, CHST, ASP, CSP preferred.
Experience:Minimum one (1) year experience in the construction field.
Successful candidate will possess:
Knowledge of construction and general industry safety standards.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to audit entire jobsites, including climbing ladders, work at heights or enclosed spaces, and temperature extremes.
Travel outside of the Fargo-Moorhead area as needed
Strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
Effective communication, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Proficient in the use of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
