Summary:
Receive and respond to all customer orders and inquiries regarding shipments, product updates, products specifications and use as well as any customer concerns.
In addition to incoming orders this person will also be active in outbound sales calls to support the customer/business relationship.
Accurate input of phone, e-mail, PartnerView and other software intake system orders into our business system for order entry and customer fulfillment.
Duties:
Communicate with customers by phone, fax, and email concerning orders, returns, shipments and products.
Receive and enter phone, fax, and email orders.
Solicit sales for new or additional products and services.
Handle customers concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Call customers when necessary to advise shipments delay and/or information necessary to process orders.
Make changes to or cancel orders/backorders and communicate with all involved.
Initiate orders for replacements parts and/or for correcting errors (shortages, wrong item shipped, etc.
) Fill out forms and determine charges for service requested.
Obtain customer feedback information on existing and potentially new product offerings.
Continuously cross checks and verifies acknowledgements for accuracy.
Ensures credit or returns on damaged, short, and wrong items received.
Manages open purchase orders with Product Line Manager and communicate change in expected arrival dates to all involved.
Active in the special-order process to include pricing with landed freight and setting up item numbers.
Maintains adequate literature and samples through an organized approach including:
sinage, re-order points and weekly checks of on hand items for the flooring line products.
Actively engage in Go-To-Market plans to sell and promote flooring product lines.
Qualifications:
Individual must be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills, as well as proven customer service.
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational, negotiating, and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to work under minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks, and interact with others in a professional manner.
Requirements:
Position prefers an associate degree in business, sales, or related field, two or more years of experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of computers and various computer programs, excellent customer service, and communication skills.
Experience in the Building/Construction Industry is a plus.
