This position involving sharing personal and practical experience, knowledge, and first-hand insight to benefit service users.
With this position, services are delivered by trained and certified individuals in mental health or substance use recovery that promote hope, self-determination, and skills to achieve long-term recovery in the community.
Peer Support Services are community-based.
Work will be done primarily in the individual's home and community.
The Peer Support will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator to recovering individuals in order to help prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery.
The Peer Support must demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships.
Individuals must understand and respect each client's unique path to recovery.

The salary for this position is $15-$17 an hour depending on experience (DOE).
QualificationsMinimum

and 3 letters of recommendations Must have worked within the last three years with at least 12 months total of successful or part or full time paid or voluntary work experience and have acquired Successful completion of the Department of Human Services (DHS) approved Certified Peer Specialist training and certification exam or the ability to obtain the certificate within the first 3 months of employment.
Demonstrated knowledge of Mental Health services and supports or community resources Good oral and written communication skills; good organization skills Successfully pass background check and drug test Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance for the vehicle subject to the statute of the licensing state will be required based on assigned job duties Must possess certain basic skills, including the ability to:
Communicate information clearly, concisely, and accurately Read, write, understand, and apply written instructions in English Complete basic computer related tasks Make ethical and professional decisions Organize and manage tasks Provide quality customer service Work as part of a team Commitment to company values Other Skills and

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
