Family Healthcare is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving all patients, including those most vulnerable in our community, regardless of age, nationality or ability to pay.
The Billing Specialist supports revenue cycle activities by ensuring accurate and timely billing and payment processing for services rendered by our healthcare and dental facilities.
This role will be responsible for reviewing and processing claim activity with insurance companies and other payers, monitor and resubmit rejected claims, answer billing question telephone calls and respond to walk-in billing inquiries, and be open to provide and assist with continuous improvement for all billing procedures.
Education and Experience Experience in Medical Insurance Billing, minimum of 6 months, preferred Knowledge of Billing Rules and guidelines set by Medicare and DHS Familiarity with Centricity/Visanalytics and Microsoft Office Suite, preferred Schedule:
Full or Part-Time, M-F, Hours of work are within the core hours of 7:
30 to 5:
