Location Fargo (Field Support Office)
Description This position serves in the accounting function by performing daily accounting tasks and timely account reconciliations for the Field Support Office by relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Specific Duties Include:
Performs daily and monthly duties such as:
o Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
o Commissions
o Month end closing
o Expense allocation/recording
o Bank reconciliation
o Depreciation
o Other corporate accounting projects
Identifies and reports accounting related issues to appropriate management.
Responsible for the accuracy and timely preparation of financial information.
Exemplifies team work and camaraderie.
Ability to work with complex store structures.
Works with department/store managers on a daily basis with accounting process.
Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
Conduct self in the presence of customers and
so as to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.
Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
Degree in accounting or the equivalent work experience preferred
3+ years of work related experience in the accounting field required
Ability to travel on average 1 - 2 weeks a year
Microsoft Office experience including Excel and Access is required
Excellent customer service skills
Oral and written communication skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
