Position Title: Customer Technical Support Specialist II
Location: Fargo
Salary: $3,046 - $3,54 per month, including single health insurance plan.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires completion of high school or GED and six years of data and information processing work experience. One year of work experience as a customer technical support specialist may be substituted for two years of the work exerience requirement. An associate degree in a computer science, data processing, telecommunications, or business administration field may be substituted for two years of the work experience requirement. A bachelor''s degree in computer science, data processing, telecommunications, or business administration field may be substituted for four years of the work experience requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to individuals that have knowledge of HTML and Microsoft 2013 Office Suite. Additional preference will be given to those individuals with experience beyond the minimum qualification as well as those individuals that have the applicable degrees, either an associate''s degree or bachelor''s degree.

Summary of Work
Support digital curriculum residing in several learning management systems.
Prepare new curriculum for deployment, receive, identify, analyze, manage, and document the resolution of problems both routine and unique, encountered within a telecommunications and networking environment.
Work with multiple computer platforms, local and wide area networks, telephone, video, and multimedia systems.
Troubleshoot, research, analyze, document, and resolve technical problems.
Work with other technical staff during development and implementation of new applications, equipment, and/or changes; develop and maintain procedures for resolving user problems associated with new or changed applications or equipment.
Develop and maintain documentation and technical diagrams of new or changed software configurations/settings within or between various systems for support operations and staff training purposes. Establish and maintain documentation files of computer hardware and software configurations.
Assist in the preparation of user guides and instruction manuals.
May assist other staff in performing more complex tasks.
Perform maintenance of completed projects using prepared documentation.
Use available program and system testing tools and methodology.
Perform project post-implementation activities such as soliciting feedback from stakeholders, preparing a report, and archiving of information.
Review products for appropriateness, grammar, spelling, punctuation, accuracy, technical soundness, and conformity to established guidelines.
Receive and record all reported problems encountered by system users.
Assign priority levels to each problem based on an analysis of the situation.
Isolate problems to specific system and/or system components, i.e., hardware or software.
Perform first level resolution techniques utilizing historically known solutions and software or hardware diagnostic and testing tools.
Issue commands within the system and/or instructions to users to correct specific problems.
Track and document progress of the steps being taken to resolve problems. Relay problems that cannot be resolved through first level resolution techniques to the appropriate section/personnel within the organization or to the appropriate vendor.
Perform on-call services utilizing mobile workstations with accessibility to base systems.
Work with technical staff to resolve end-user problems; maintain and utilize system maintenance tools; provide communication with vendors as necessary to resolve hardware and software problems.
Identify, manage, monitor, and respond to requirement gaps, conflicts, and risks.
Manage customer and vendor relationships; serve as liaison between information technology, users, and vendors.
Assist in identifying software and hardware requirements; evaluate hardware and software products and technologies and make recommendations for implementation.
Organize, configure, and troubleshoot network resources; manage user rights and security.
Assist with and receive training in servicing problems of an unusual or complex nature in a variety of systems or system configurations.
Determine extent and impact of problems; establish and maintain coordination with a variety of users, in-house technical staff, vendors, and appropriate management staff to insure resolution of problems.
May be required to work with entry level personnel to provide assistance and training.
Provides assistance in the development and implementation of procedures in support of the problem management process.
Minimal travel is required.

# About the Center for Distance Education
The North Dakota Center for Distance Education (NDCDE) provides online and distance learning to middle and high school students and schools in North Dakota, as well as many other states and several foreign countries. NDCDE was established by the ND legislature in 1935. It has operated continuously since its creation. Today, NDCDE offers over 300 semester length courses online for students in grades 6 - 12, including all courses required to earn a ND high school diploma. Courses offered by NDCDE include core courses, electives, Advanced Placement (AP), dual credit and credit recovery courses.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
