School Bid Specialist

This position resides in the National Accounts Department and directly reports to the National Accounts Manager. The position will entail working with data that applies to a bid along with the bid itself. This will include working with bid spreadsheets along with gathering data from manufacturers and internal merchandisers to complete the bid spreadsheets. This position will also be a key contributor to our school program. Being one of the faces for our company at school shows and working with school commodities, NOI balances and our school menu program. This is a full time position that resides in the Fargo branch that will include some extended hours during the bid season.
Work with other associates within the department maintain bids, maintain Bid Allowance Codes, and provide support to sales department.
Oversee NOI balances.
Attend School Shows. (SD, ND & MN)
Oversee School Menu Program.
Process Commodity orders. (Weekly)
Create and maintain customer bids.
Assist with Customer and Internal Audits of bids to verify bid and contract compliance.
Create, and maintain Bid Allowance Codes.
Produce reports for purposes of analyzing margins and price adjustments.
Assist in researching price adjustments and discrepancies.
Cross train in all areas of Sales Administration.
Provide back-up for other department associates.
Assist with other projects as assigned.
Formal Education: High School Degree or equivalent required.
On-the-Job
Experience: Two years experience as administrative support preferred.
Special Knowledge: Working knowledge of the Food Service Industry strongly preferred. Must possess strong computer skills. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Access, and Showcase Strategy: experience manipulating and analyzing large data files desired.
Interpersonal Skills: Must possess strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to prioritize and organize workload, meet deadlines and solve problems in a high production environment. Must be able to solve problems and deal with all levels of FSA Associates, customers and brokers. Must be able to handle many interruptions and assist fellow Associates when needed.
Ability to pass a background investigation and drug test.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
