Electrician - Great Falls, MT

Malteurop North America, Inc. is seeking an Electrician at its Great Falls, MT facility. The Electrician performs work to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair and applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions. In addition, the Electrician applies skills in restoring equipment to the operation and has the necessary skills in electrical/electronics to support all areas of manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Troubleshoots, tests, maintains and repairs mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment.
Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown in line with OSHA requirements.
Advises operators, millwrights and appropriate management of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
Informs appropriate management and millwrights of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.
Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
Assists and trains other maintenance and/or other technical level employees.
Diagnoses malfunctioning systems and equipment, including programmable controls, VFD's, components, circuitry and equipment for efficient and effective repairs.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or its equivalent. Must be a Journeyman Electrician with at least 5 years working as such. 3-5 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics and mechanical fields are required along with the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas. Must be preventative maintenance orientated and regard safety as a priority. Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC industrial controls is a plus. Montana state electrical license is required.
Additional qualifications include:
Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
A thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment including use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
Willing to work any shift and overtime as required.
Computer experience/operation and PLC programming is preferred.
High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required.
Ability to work at elevated heights, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
Ability to work around high voltage electricity.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
