For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Impala in Fargo, North Dakota for sale in Fargo, ND

1 of 50
Vehicle Description I bought this Impala several years ago from the owner in the Minneapolis, MN area as a father/son project.
After years of tinkering, the time has come to hand it over to someone who wants to put in the time and effort to finish it off.
The owner I bought it from had acquired it from someone in Texas.
The owner had replaced the original 327 engine which was no longer running with a 305.
Some work has already been done - new top, new Holley 4-barrel carb, new exhaust system, new radiator, new brakes, new bucket seats, new rear tires.
There is also plenty of work yet to be done - rusty panels need to be dealt with, bucket seats need to be mounted (mounts included), rear passenger window needs to be installed (window included), power top needs repair, seals need to be replaced (new seals included), front dash is in poor condition overall, and of course car will need to be sanded and painted.
In general there is just a lot of detail work that needs to be done.
Under the car there is some rust in the floor panels.
But the frame itself appears to be in good condition and rust-free.
I have heard rust in the frame can is a concern with this era of Impala.
Fortunately you don't have that problem with this car.
The car was running well up until recently.
I took it to my mechanic who cleaned out the carb, but he said oil is leaking into the engine.
The car is blowing out some black smoke when driving and not running well at all.
I got it home (barely), so I would not say it is in condition to drive as-is.
This car will be a real gem when it is finished by someone who has the time, ability, and resources to get it done right.
I am not seeing any 1969 Impalas listed online in this type of condition - everything listed is finished and $$$$ - so snatch this up at a low price while it's available!.
